Russian is used in government, education, science, and media and continues to function as a regional lingua franca across much of Eurasia. Russian proficiency is among the most in-demand skills for careers in national security, intelligence, and diplomacy. CLS participants study Russian while engaging with its use across a range of regional and institutional settings.
